Bhubaneswar: Continuing its trend of providing the healing touch
to men and women in their 80’s and 90’s, the SUM Covid Hospital on Monday discharged a corona virus hit senior citizen, aged 96, and his 88-year-old wife.
Shakuntala and Baidyanath Parida, both residents of the city, were
admitted into the hospital on November 7 after testing positive for Covid-19. Both also had hypertension and diabetes presenting a tricky situation to the treating medical team. Both were also symptomatic as they had fever and cough.
However, they responded well to the treatment and were fit to be
discharged after ten days of care. The couple expressed their gratefulness to the treating doctors and nurses while praising their sincere efforts.
Meanwhile, Gandharba Charan Sahu (73) of Kendrapara, another Covid-19 infected senior citizen, was also discharged from the hospital on Monday.
