Six people, including two pilots of a chartered plane, had a miraculous escape when their aircraft crash landed at Dhanipur air strip in the city on Tuesday morning. According to police sources here, the aircraft VT-AVV is reported to have hit an electric wire while landing before crashing on the airstrip. The entire aircraft was burnt even as fire brigade tried to douse the flames.
The incident occurred when the aircraft, coming from New Delhi, touched some wire before landing on airstrip, confirmed city magistrate Vineet Kumar Singh. The two pilots– Kishore and Dipak– along with engineers Ramprakash Gupta, Prabhat Trivedi, Anand Kumar and Kartik suffered minor injuries. The aircraft was carrying engineers for repairing aircraft of aviation company. (UNI)
