(UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Alka Lamba has said she was asked
to resign for not supporting a state Assembly resolution aimed at withdrawing late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s Bharat Ratna over his failure to curb the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The AAP courted political controversy over bringing a resolution in the Delhi Assembly on Friday over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
However, the AAP made a clarification later on the issue over the naming of the former Prime Minister in the resolution and claimed that it was not a part of the original resolution.
