Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath left for Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya and Devipatan on Wednesday, amidst the 72-hour ban on electioneering imposed by the Election Commission.
On Tuesday, the Chief Minister visited the famous Hanuman Setu temple in Lucknow and recited ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, while today, he started the day with meeting a triple talaq victim Nazia.
Sources said that Nazia, along with her sister, met Adityanath at his official residence and sought financial and other help. The CM has assured all possible assistance.
Later, Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan met the Chief Minister to seek his blessings before launch of his poll campaigning from Gorakhpur on Wednesday afternoon.
“I took the blessings of the Gorakshnath temple Mahant and UP CM before launching my campaigning,” Ravi Kishan said. He further said that no one can defeat him from Gorakhpur now after the blessing of the Gorakshnath peth.
Ravi Kishan has been made the BJP candidate from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat, represented by Yogi Adityanath for five times, before becoming the CM of the state in March 2017. But in the bypolls, after Mr Adityanath vacated the Gorakhpur seat, SP won by defeating the BJP candidate in 2017.
Thereafter, the Chief Minister left for Mohan Road in the state capital to meet the divyang girls of the government blind college. Mr Adityanath enquired about their studies and other facilities being provided in the college.
From Mohan Road, he left for Ayodhya where he will have a darshan of Ram Lalla at the makeshift temple in the disputed area and worship at the Hanumangarhi temple besides meeting the senior seers of the city. In the evening, the CM will leave for Devipatan where he will have a night stay. (UNI)
