Another UP minister tests Covid-19 positive

Lucknow:  Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Health Atul Garg has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Minister tweeted on Tuesday, “I had my RTPCR test on August 15, which came negative, but I tested positive in the repeat test on Monday night.”

He said, “Whoever met me between August 16 and 18, should ideally get the test done.”

Atul Garg is the tenth Uttar Pradesh Minister to have tested positive for coronavirus.

Two Ministers from the state, Kamal Rani Varun and Chetan Chauhan, recently succumbed to the viral disease.

Earlier, state Ministers Brijesh Pathak, Dr. Mahendra Singh, Rajendra Pratap Singh, Dharam Singh Saini, Upendra Tiwari, Raghuraj Singh and Jai Pratap Singh had tested positive for the virus but have recovered now.
