Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday spoke to his Gujarat counterpart Vijay Rupani over phone and requested him to take care of fishermen from Andhra Pradesh stuck in Gujarat due to the lockdown.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Jagan Mohan Reddy urged Gujarat Chief Minister to ensure proper accommodation and food for the fishermen.
Reddy requested Rupani to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure that the well being of these fishermen was not hampered during the course of the fight against Covid-19.
Gujarat Chief Minister responded positively to the request and assured that the government will take necessary steps to take care of the fishermen.
