Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil has said the artificial rain will be induced from July 25 onwards in the state to combat drought situation.
Patil said in Tuljapur town in Osmanabad district on Thursday that the Radar system was in place in Nagpur and Solapur cities in the state while Radar system is being installed in Aurangabad for this purpose and process would starts from July 25 onwards.
The region has recorded only 49 per cent of the expected rainfall in the region, leading to shortage of drinking water and hampering sowing operation.
