Bengaluru, Nov 23: German automobile giant Audi on Saturday launched its first Bharat Stage VI-norm compliant car – the eighth generation A6 sedan – in Karnataka. “With the launch of the new Audi A6, we are presenting the eighth generation of the successful full size sedan that brings numerous innovations to the segment,” Audi India head Balbir Singh Dhillon said in a statement.
The new Audi A6 appeals to customers who enjoy driving as well as be driven, he said. The new sedan, powered by a 2.0 litre TFSI engine produces 180 Kw (245 hp) power and 370 Nm torque, equipped by a seven speed S tronic transmission. Some next generation features include an intuitive MMI touch response operating system, wide range of infotainment components, optional myAudi Connect services, progressive steering and lane departure warning, among others.
Beginning at a price of Rs 54.2 lakhs ex-showroom, the new Audi A6 boasts a speed of 0 to 100 km in 6.8 seconds.
