Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said AYUSH will play an important role in country’s path of becoming 5 trillion dollar economy.
‘Today, when we are going with the target of 5 trillion dollar economy, then AYUSH is going to play a very big role. In the coming few years, the Preventive Healthcare market in India is also going to expand a lot. This is a big opportunity,’ the Prime Minister said after presenting awards to the winners of PM’s Award for Outstanding Contribution for Promotion and Development of Yoga at an event organised by the Ministry of AYUSH here.
‘We have to develop our Preventive Healthcare System as an attractive brand for the whole world. We have entered into agreements with 17 countries of the world, right now we need to speed it up,’ Modi said.
‘The country will have to increase work on the Millet Revolution. Farmers should grow Millet and our industries related to food processing should create such attractive products from them, which will be liked by every generation and also become part of their food,’ the Prime Minister said.
‘The important thing is that millets grows in all types of soil and also consumes less water. That is, India has a huge advantage. We can produce millets for the whole world,’ he said.
This will also name India as the brand of Preventive Healthcare, serve humanity and increase the income of the farmer, he said.
The Prime Minister said the Government’s aim is to open 12,500 AYUSH centers across the country. (UNI)
