Security forces on Wednesday arrested three youths in south Kashmir in connection with the Banihal blast case.
Official sources said that following specific information, three youth were arrested from a village in south Kashmir district of Shopian.
“All the three youth are being questioned,” they said.
The arrests come just two days after police arrested Owais Amin, who allegedly drove the car, and recovered two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) of which only one exploded on Saturday.
Director General of Police (DGP), J&K, Dilbarg Singh on Tuesday said that a major tragedy was averted due to the failure in the trigger mechanism of the IED, gelatin sticks and two LPG cylinders.
On March 30, a blast took place in which a Santro car exploded near a CRPF bus, which was on way from Srinagar to Jammu, in Banihal on the national highway on Saturday, resulting in minor damage to the vehicle. (UNI)
