Beer to rescue as woman reunites with missing pet

New Delhi: A woman from US’ Minnesota has reunited with her pet that went missing three years back. Thanks to a beer company featuring the lost dog on its can — the reunion was possible.

It all happened after the Motorworks Brewing company of Bradenton in Florida featured the dog’s photo on their beer can. The Florida brewery had put photos of dogs from a local shelter on its cans.

The brewery’s Facebook post read: “Proceeds go to Shelter Manatee to help build the new shelter for our less fortunate four-legged friends.

“The dogs featured on the can will be on-site ready for adoption alongside several more puppers-in-need plus raffles, silent auctions, drink specials, food trucks & local vendors.”

Monica Mathis from Minnesota said she spotted her missing dog, in a social media video created by the Florida brewery, as part of a fundraising and awareness stunt for the local animal shelter.

The Minneapolis and St. Paul based media outlet KSTP TV reported about Mathis’ reunion with her pet and social media was flooded reactions.

A user wrote, “Fabulous! Thanks for promoting the humane society!”

Another wrote, “That brought tears to my eyes.”

A post read, “Beer to the rescue!! This is an awesome update.”

Tweeple remarked: “Another reason to drink beer: sometimes it reunites dog owners with their long-lost pups!”
