BJD announces candidates for 2 Lok Sabha & 7 Assembly seats

Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik today announced the candidates list for two Lok Sabha and seven assembly seats.

The candidates to have secured BJD Lok Sabha tickets in this phase are:

  1. Dhenkanal – Mahesh Sahu
  2. Keonjhar – Chandrani Murmu

The candidates to have secured BJD Vidhan Sabha tickets in this phase are:

  1. Bhubaneswar-Central: Ananat Narayan Jena
  2. Bhubaneswar-North: Sushant Kumar Rout
  3. Khandapada: Soumya Ranjan Patnaik
  4. Pallahara: Mukesh Pal
  5. Jajpur: Pranab Prakash Das
  6. Athamallik: Ramesh Chandra Sai
  7. Korei: Ashok Bal

It may be mentioned here that the state will go to polls in four phases starting April 11. Polls for the Lok Sabha’s 543 elected seats are being held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. Odisha Assembly polls, on the other hand, will be conducted in four phases between April 11 and April 29. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day the results will be declared.
