Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday announced second list of six candidates in Arunachal Pradesh and first list of 12 candidates in Sikkim for the upcoming assembly elections. Assembly polls will be held on April 11 in both states along with Lok Sabha polls.
In Arunachal Pradesh, where the BJP is in power, the first list of 54 candidates for the 60 member assembly was announced earlier, and candidates for the remaining six seats were announced today. According to the BJP list, Chief Minister Pema Khandu will contest from Mukto assembly constituency.
In Sikkim, the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, has ended their alliance with the BJP and decided to contest in all 32 seats independently.
