Braving chill, Punjab CM unfurls national flag in Mohali

Chandigarh: Braving the chill on a foggy morning, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday unfurled the national flag in Punjab’s Mohali and took the salute from the marching contingents.

He highlighted the steps taken by the government for the welfare of the people.

The function was held at the Government College in Phase 6 of Mohali, near Chandigarh.

Despite the early morning chill, people and students turned out in big numbers at functions across Punjab to witness the impressive parade and cultural functions.

In Chandigarh, the Republic Day function was held at the Sector 17 Parade Ground where the Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator V.P. Singh Badnore took the salute.
