AITC Member Kalyan Banerjee on Monday termed the Budget 2019-20 ”visionless” budget called it for corporates.
Taking part in the discussion on Union Budget 2019-20 in Lok Sabha, the AITC member said the Budget speech on July 5 was a lengthy speech but it lacked details.
”It is a visionless Budget,” he said, adding that it imposes additional excise duty on petrol, diesel and is not growth oriented,” he said.
The AITC member said the Budget speaks about the corporates. ”This Budget is for corporates,” he said.
The Budget was silent on the issue of unemployment and there was no roadmap to create jobs.
”Why every year there is a deduction in interest rates in PF,” he asked.
On Education, the AITC member said, ”The most ignored part in this budget is education. Nothing was mentioned in the Budget speech about school education.”
”The government is trying to make education a commodity,” he said.
He accused that the GST has affected the small industry.
