New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Saturday exercised his franchise in central Delhi’s Nirman Bhawan polling booth.
Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had also exercised their franchise at the same polling booth earlier in the day.
Voting in Delhi began at 8 a.m. on Saturday and will end by 6 p.m. The result for the Delhi polls will be declared by the EC on Tuesday.
The incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal is in a triangular contest with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
Counting of votes will take place on February 11.
