Former senior BJD leader Damodar Rout has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party head quarters in Delhi. Rout was expelled from the BJD few months back for anti party activities. After joining the BJP in the presence of few leaders Damodar Rout told the media that he had remained influenced by the ideals of late Biju Patnaik for 20 years who always devoted himself to the cause of Odisha’s development and of the downtrodden mass. But Naveen Patnaik has done just the reverse and promoting corruption and sheltering the unholy people in the party. When ” I raised issues like large scale corruption in few departments then I was victimised and driven out. Now I believe under the leadership of Narendra Modi Odisha would strive to develop.
