Delhi-Lahore bus service cancelled

Delhi – Lahore bus service was cancelled on Monday by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) following Pakistan’s decision to suspend the friendship bus service. The announcement was made by a Pakistan Minister on Saturday with regard to the suspension of the friendship bus service from Monday. This follows the revocation of special status to the Jammu and Kashmir.

The transport corporation was unable to send the bus to Lahore following the neighbour’s decision to suspend the service from Monday. The service began during the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Prime Minister in 1999. (UNI)
