Delhi Congress president and former Chief Minister Delhi Sheila Dikshit on Sunday said that the people living in Delhi are now expressing and want that once again Congress’s government should come back in the capital.
Taking a dig a the AAP government in Delhi while addressing a convention here in Central Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, Ms Dikshit said that the result of the last election is Delhi that chose the present government has left Delhi no where in terms of development and progress, and further added saying that people now remember the times during the Congress regime themselves and realize how fast the city moved in therms of developmental works.
Ms Dikshit further hit out at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre alleging that people just went with the flow of false promises made by the BJP be it jobs and others also questioning whether what benefit did demonetisation fetch to people.
She further urged people that this time we all have to give Delhi such MPs who can effectively voice the genuine concerns to the government in centre and help in the city to move forward.
She also hit out at the AAP saying that it talked a lot however, worked much lesser and moreover does not know how to work, further asking whether did people really benefit after getting AAP in Delhi and BJP in centre.
Urging the people Ms Dikshit said that now is time to realise and also tell others what was the difference between Congress’s and BJP’s working.
She said that the upcoming elections will not only have its effect on Delhi but will also send across a message to the entire nation.
