Development will come to halt If YSRCP is voted to power: Naidu

Naidu on YSR

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party National President N Chandrababu Naidu said the development in the state would come to a halt if YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was voted to power and called upon the people to take a wise decision by electing his party.

Addressing TDP leaders through teleconference here on Monday, he said that about 60 lakh activists and over one crore women are in TDP and they are getting benefits from the welfare schemes being implemented by the state government and hoped that and they will support the party.

He claimed that the TDP is getting overwhelming response from the people in the state and predicted a landslide victory in the April 11 General Election.

“If you vote for the YSRCP, the development in the state will come to a halt. Do you want the TDP government, which is committed to complete the construction of Polavaram project or the YSRCP, which had filed cases hampering the construction of the project ?”, the Chief Minister asked the voters.

Mr.Naidu asked “Do you want the TDP led government which is constructing the world class capital city Amaravati or do you want YSRCP, which set on fire plantain crop to obstruct the capital construction ?. Do you want the party, which is provoking faction violence or the TDP government, which is providing water to the drought-hit Rayalaseema region?”.

He lashed out at YSRCP President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for joining hands with the Telangana leaders who are against for the development of AP.

Mr Reddy has no moral right to ask people to vote for his party, he added.

Referring to the murder of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s paternal uncle and former Minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy in Pulivendula town in Kadapa district three days ago, he said that according to media reports, the YSRCP President allegedly manhandled him forcing him to resign from his MP post.

The then AICC President Sonia Gandhi warned Mr Reddy not to manhandle Vivekananda Reddy and not to insist him to resign his MP post, Mr Naidu claimed.
