Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the Election Commission of India (ECI) is not taking serious note of his complaints against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been violating the model code of conduct (MCC).
Talking to the reporters after casting his vote at his ancestral village Kuruddih in Durg district, Mr Baghel said that PM Modi and BJP were raising issues intended to mislead people, instead of seeking votes on the basis of their performance during the last five years.
He alleged that several complaints were lodged in the state against BJP for seeking votes on valour of Army and violation of model code of conduct by Modi but EC did not take any action on these complaints.
Mr Baghel said that he was confident of party’s victory in all 11 parliamentary seats of the state. He added,” We sought votes on the basis of performance of Congress Government during last three months in the state.”
Over allegation that the Congress does not have any face in election, CM Baghel said that BJP had contested assembly elections by projecting Modi but they defeated the partyy. So, BJP would meet the same fate in the general elections.
