First Russian radar satellite Obzor-R to be launched to orbit in 2020

The first Russian radar satellite, Obzor-R, will be launched to orbit in 2020, the head of the Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said on Tuesday.
“We plan to launch to orbit our first radar satellite exactly in one year,” Rogozin told reporters.
He added that he had recently held a visit to the Progress Rocket Space Centre in order to monitor the process of building the satellite.
According to the documents available on the Russian public procurement portal, the launch is planned for 2021.
