Former BJP Union minister Chinmayand accused in sexual outrage case

Godman and former Union minister Swami Chinmayanand has found himself in the middle of a controversy after a girl student of his college levelled charges of sexual exploitation against him.

A law student of S S Law college owned by Swami’s Ashram has alleged via a video posted on social media that Swami owned management has made life difficult for her.
She had made direct charges of sexual exploitation against the Swami.

However, the girl’s family claim that she has been missing for past two days. A case of missing has been registered and investigations are on.

Meanwhile, Swami has alleged that there is a conspiracy to extort Rs 5 crore from him. He claims he had got extortion calls and has, therefore, also filed an FIR against unknown people.
“Swami has registered an FIR on August 22 on extortion of Rs 5 crore demanded through a whatsup number. The extortionist also threatened to viral a video of the Swami if the money was not given,” the police complaint said. The FIR was lodged by Mumuksh ashram of the Swami situated under Kotwali police station area.

The Swami had been in controversy even in the past, when few years back he was accused of similar charges by a lady of his school. Later on he was acquitted in the case.
Chinmayanand is currently with the BJP at the moment and is said to be close to UP CM Yogi Adityanath as the CM has visited his Ashram twice in Shahjahanpur. (UNI)
