New Delhi: The number of coronavirus cases in the country rose to 33,050 as of Thursday morning. Out of this, 23,651 people are active cases, while 8,324 have been discharged from the hospitals, data released by the Union Health Ministry suggested, adding that the total deaths due to the virus are 1,074 so far.
According to the data, 33 cases have been reported in Andaman Nicobar till Thursday morning, out of which 15 have been discharged. Meanwhile, the number in Andhra Pradesh has reached 1,332, out of which 287 people have been discharged from the hospital with 32 deaths. Arunachal Pradesh remains a corona-free state to date.
This number is constantly increasing in Bihar. As of Thursday morning, 393 cases have been reported here, of which 65 were discharged from the hospital while two have died.
In Chandigarh, 56 cases have been reported. of these 17 have been discharged. 38 cases have been reported in Chhattisgarh with 34 have been discharged.
The number of corona-infected people has crossed 3,400 in Delhi. As of Thursday morning, 3,439 people have been found corona infected, out of which 1,092 people have been discharged while 56 have died. On the other hand, Goa remains a coronavirus-free state.
Meanwhile, the number of infected people in Gujarat has increased rapidly. A total of 4,082 people are reported to be suffering from this virus out of which 527 have been discharged while 197 deaths were reported till Thursday morning. In Haryana, 310 cases have been reported with three deaths.
On Thursday morning, Himachal Pradesh reported 40 cases, out of which 25 have been discharged and one has died. This figure seems to be increasing rapidly in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the data, 581 people suffer from the disease, out of which 193 people have been discharged from the hospital and 30 have died here.
The number of people suffering from corona has also increased in Jharkhand. As of Thursday morning, 107 people have been reported infected with the virus, while 19 have been discharged and three deaths have been recorded.
In Karnataka, a total of 535 cases were reported and 216 have been discharged while 21 have died. The figure has reached 495 in Kerala with 369 people were discharged from the hospital and four deaths.
On the other hand, the figure in Ladakh has reached 22 with 16 people have been discharged from the hospital. In Madhya Pradesh too, this figure has increased to 2,561 while 461 have been discharged here and 129 deaths have been recorded.
Maharashtra also tops the country in terms of corona infection. As of Thursday morning, 9,915 people have been reported to be suffering from the virus, while 1,593 people have been discharged from the hospital. There are 432 deaths reported here.
On the other hand, Manipur remains a corona-free state. As of Thursday morning, 12 cases have been reported in Meghalaya and one in Mizoram.
According to the latest figures, 125 corona-affected people have been reported in Odisha. Of these, 39 have been discharged and one has died. The number in Puducherry was recorded at 8, out of which three have been discharged. There have been 357 cases in Punjab. Out of which 90 people have been discharged from the hospital and 19 people have died here.
The number of people suffering from corona is also increasing rapidly in Rajasthan. The figure has crossed the mark of 2,400 here. So far, 2,438 people have been reported to be suffering from this virus while 768 have been discharged from the hospital and 51 have died.
In Tamil Nadu, 2,162 people have been reported to be corona infected, out of which 1,210 have been discharged and 27 have died. In Telangana the figure has gone up to 1,012 with 367 people have been discharged from hospital after treatment, whereas 26 people have died in the state. On the other hand, Tripura has become free from coronavirus.
In Uttarakhand by Thursday morning, the figure had reached 55, of which 36 people have been cured. In Uttar Pradesh, the number of corona-infected people has increased to 2,134. Here 510 have been discharged from the hospital while 39 lost their lives.
In West Bengal, 758 people have been reported to be suffering from the virus, while 124 have been discharged and 22 have died.
