India’s first three-orbital mission took off, when PSLV-C45 carrying the 436 kg EMISAT and 28 foreign satellites from four countries, lifted off from the Second Launch Pad at 0927 hrs at the SHAR Range here on Monday.

After a perfect, 27-hour countdown, PSLV-C45, in its 47th mission, lifted off as scheduled, belching orange fumes and with a rumble that shook the earth.

The 436 kg Electronic Intelligence Satellite of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), EMISAT, in the intended orbit.

After a perfect lift off and after a flight duration of 17 minutes, the workhorse launch vehicle, in its 47th mission injected the primary satellite, EMISAT into a 749 km into sun-synchronous polar orbit with an inclination of 98.376 deg.  (UNI)
