A Delhi Special Court on Monday extended by four more days Central Bureau of Investigation custody of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram till August 30 in connection with INX Media case.
In this matter, CBI registered an FIR in the month of May 2017 over alleged irregularities in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board clearance to INX Media to receive overseas funds of ₹305 crore during Chidambaram’s tenure as Union Finance Minister.
CBI arrested Chidambaram from his residence in New Delhi on August 21, Wednesday. (UNI)
