Irawaddy dolphin in Chilika drop to 56, 12 feet carcass ring the warning bell

The 12 feet long carcass of a beautiful Irawaddy dolphin near Chilika shore has exposed the chink the armour of the authorities. This is not first time a dolphin died unnatural death. Once where used to be 80 Irawaddy dolphins now the population has declined down to 56 as  per reports. Most such deaths are caused due to un-monitored movement of motor boats engaged for fishing.
