Jharkhand government to provide Rs 7,500 as pension for journalists

The Jharkhand Government has decided to provide a pension of Rs 7,500 per month to the journalists working in the state. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das here. As per decision after the death of the pension holder the kin will be also provided family pension. Further, the state government has also decided to frame rules to felicitate those who are performing excellently in the areas of Hindi literature, Journalism and Civil Services. In another key decision the government also approved the IPRD’s Jharkhand Advertisement Rules 2019.

In another key decision, the state government has also decided to allot Rs 150 crore from the Jharkhand Contingency Fund as agriculture input grant while it was also agreed to bring changes in the examination pattern of the joint graduation level competitive exams conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Committee.

The government has also decided that in Keredari circle area of Hazaribagh district a area of 6.45 acres will be handed over to NTPC on a lease of 30 years for payment of Rs 58.97 lakh for construction of railway siding project for its coal mining project. Further administrative approval for construction of by-pass road on the Satsangnagar-Bhirkhibad strech at a cost of Rs 69.26 crore was also given by the cabinet. (UNI)
