Kanhaiya faces opposition in Muzaffarpur

Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Kanhaiya Kumar today faced stiff resistance from people when he reached Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur to meet children suffering from Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) and their family members.

Kumar, former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) who had unsuccessfully contested last Lok Sabha election against BJP leader Giriraj Singh from Begusarai was not allowed to enter into SKMCH along with his large number of supporters by security guards.

Later, CPI leader`s supporters entered into heated arguments with security guards even as people present on the occasion also opposed him.

People standing outside the hospital said, “Had Kanhaiya Kumar any grief over deaths of innocent children, he would have come alone or with few people. Whether he has come to the hospital to hold any rally with hundreds of supporters carrying CPI flags?”

On it, Kanhaiya Kumar said that it was time to pray for children and he did not intend to do any politics on such a serious issue.“I have come to meet suffering children and their family members,” he added.
