Day after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan threatened nuclear war with India over India, Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday warned of a ‘nuclear flashpoint’ between the two South Asian neighbours.
“Kashmir issue if not resolved could become a ‘nuclear flashpoint’ between India and Pakistan”, he said while speaking to a private news channel.
He said the world leaders want the Kashmir issue to be resolved through dialogue, Radio Pakistan reported.
This comes at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in France to attend the G7 summit. Mr Modi on Monday held talks with US President Donald Trump. He reiterated India’s stance on solving all issues between India and Pakistan bilaterally — dismissing Trump’s claims last month where in he had stated that Mr Modi has asked him to mediate on Kashmir.
