In view of some reports of students and other residents of Jammu and Kashmir experiencing threats and intimidation in the wake of terrorist attack in Pulwama, the Ministry of Home Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday issued an advisory to all states and union territories to take necessary measures to ensure their safety and security .
The advisory directs all Chief Secretaries and Director General of Police of all states to strictly maintain law and order situation.
The people are in deep anguish and agitated over the gruesome attack on the CRPF convoy, which led to death of 40 personnel on Thursday .
Incidents of intimidation of Kashmiris living outside J&K were reported in some parts of the country in past 48 hours. Therefore, the Home Ministry has asked to states to ensure the safety and security of the people, a senior Government functionary said.
