The second informal talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping commenced in at the Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort in this coastal town on Saturday. The one-to-one closed door meeting was expected to last for about
40 to 50 minutes, during which bilateral trade, international and regional issues were likely to be discussed. This would be followed by official delegation level talks.
Earlier, Mr Modi received Mr Xi at the entrance of the hotel and the two leaders shook hands and reached the meeting hall in a
battery operated vehicle.
