Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma fined for breach of conduct at Eden Gardens

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee after a breach of the Code Of Conduct in their game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday night at Eden Gardens.
Rohit, who was given out leg before in the fourth over, broke the stumps after being adjudged. He was charged under Level 1 of 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.
Mumbai were following a massive 233 runs to win against KKR and Rohit was off to a good start, belting three boundaries early on before being given out to an attempted hoick that he missed off Harry Gurney.
Replays showed that the ball was just clipping leg stump as Rohit reviewed the decision. He made his displeasure obvious, having a couple of words with the umpire and then breaking the stumps with his bat. He accepted the sanction.
Mumbai Indians went on to lose the game by 34 runs.
