Nath “hails” BJP dare vis-a-vis floor test

Two-day special MP Assembly session begins

Picking up the gauntlet thrown down by the rival camp, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Tuesday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has had floor tests conducted in the Assembly on four earlier occasions and is welcome to do so again if it desires.
“I repose confidence in all Congress legislators and the parties supporting us. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s actions are fuelled by the motive of boosting its own morale,” the Congress state President told the press here.

In the context of “irregularities” in electronic voting machines, he said that a new cozenage is coming to the fore via social media and the quantum of truth in the matter shall become known on Thursday.

The Vidhan Sabha’s Leader of the Opposition Gopal Bhargava dispatched a communication on Monday to Governor Anandiben Patel urging the latter to convene a special session of the House. During an interaction with media, he pointed out that almost every exit poll is projecting a National Democratic Alliance dispensation at the Centre.

“In the fresh perspective, the BJP is likely to emerge victorious in 26-27 of the state’s 29 constituencies, which – in a manner of speaking – proves that the Congress no longer enjoys confidence,” Mr Bhargava claimed.
