Nalin Khandelwal of Rajasthan topped the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam 2019 with 701 marks out of 720 declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday.
While Khadelwal scored 99.9999291 percentile, Bhavik Bansal from the National Capital bagged second rank with 700 marks and 99.9997873 percentile. The third rank has secured by Akshat Kaushik of Uttar Pradesh with 700 marks and 99.99997873 percentile.
Of the top ten positions, nine are boys, while Madhuri Reddy G from Telangana scored 695 marks with 99.9993620 percentile retaining 7th position in the NEET exam 2019. The result is available on NTA’s official website ntaneet.nic.in. and also on mcc.nic.in. Among the qualifying candidates, 3,75,635 are from the OBC category, while 99,890 belong to Scheduled Caste and 35,272- Scheduled Tribe category.
A total of 2,86,245 candidates belong to the unreserved category.
NEET 2019 merit list will be prepared as per the directives of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Council of India (MC) and Dental Council of India (DCI). Admission procedure will be done in accordance with NEET Medical merit list 2019, NEET Dental merit list 2019.
For General Category, candidates will be considered for the NEET 2019 merit list on scoring minimum 50 per cent. While in case of SC/ST/others, the minimum marks are 40 percentile and for PwD candidates, it is 45 percentile.The NTA conducted National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2019 throughout the
country on May 5 and 20 for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
