Odisha BJP announces candidate for 1 Lok Sabha, 2 Assembly seats

Odisha unit of BJP today announced candidates for one Lok Sabha and two Assembly constituencies.

BJD turncoats Bibhu Prasad Tarai and Rabi Mallick have secured their tickets from Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha and Kakatpur Assembly seats respectively.

The second candidate to have received BJP endorsement for Vidhan Sabha polls is: Sunakar Behera for Kendrapada Assembly segment.

It may be mentioned here that the state will go to polls in four phases starting April 11. Polls for the Lok Sabha’s 543 elected seats are being held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. Odisha Assembly polls, on the other hand, will be conducted in four phases between April 11 and April 29. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and the results will be declared on the same day.
