Odisha government has braced up fast to combat the threats from the COVID-19 menace that today stares at the world as pandemic.
Chief minister Naveen Patnaik while declaring it as a disaster has issued an advisory that, all the schools and colleges in the state shall remain closed till the 31st of March 2020.
However, there shall be some relaxation for the educational institutions where the examinations are underway.
Besides, the government has decided to close all the cinema halls in the state and also closure of all the swimming pools as a preventive measure to arrest any possible spread of the deadly virus COVID-19.
The chief minister has made an allocation of Rs.200 crore towards the preparedness to face the challenges from the virus that has already killed over four thousands world over.
