With the creation of the third and fourth battalions, the total number of posts under OISF will rise to 4,927.
The state government is placing strong emphasis on industrial development and has been taking proactive measures in this direction. With the establishment of new industries and the rising scope in the sector, there is an increasing need for enhanced security at industrial and commercial establishments.
Following the success of initiatives like “Utkarsha Odisha – Make in Odisha 2025”, the pace of industrialisation has gained momentum in the state. Considering the importance of securing vital industrial zones, the Chief Minister has approved the formation of the two additional battalions to strengthen the OISF.
