Reacting to statement made by Governor Satya Pal Malik that government orders circulated on social media from the past few days were invalid, former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the ‘fake orders and their origin’.Abdullah said this is a very serious matter raised by the Governor and is not something that can be dismissed with a simple comment.
‘This is a very serious matter raised by the Governor. Fake orders were circulated under the signature of senior government officers. This is not something that can be dismissed with a simple sound byte. The CBI must be asked to investigate these fake orders & their origin,’ Mr Abdullah, who is the vice President of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Abdullah had also tweeted some of the orders, asking Governor Administration to come clear about the situation in the valley. Malik on Tuesday said that everything is normal in Kashmir and the government orders being circulated on social media from the past few days were invalid.
‘There have been no valid orders by the government. A lot of rumours are spread here. Do not pay any heed to them. Everything is fine, everything is normal,’ Mr Malik said when asked about slew of orders appearing on social media about possibility of deterioration of law and order situation in the valley after August 15.
