Prime Minister Narendra Modi today came down heavily on Congress and other opposition parties for their stoic silence on statement of former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for advocating separate PM for Jammu and Kashmir, saying it was a reflection that they were with gang working to disintegrate the country.
Mr Modi, while addressing a massive public meeting in support of NDA candidate and LJP MP Chirag Paswan here, said he was surprised to note that former CM of Jammu and Kashmir Mr Abdullah had demanded a constitutional provision for separate PM of his state and no opposition party including Congress had criticised his statement so far. In fact all of them were maintaining stoic silence on the issue which meant they were in support of the gang working to disintegrate the nation, he said.
“Opposition is silent on such a sensitive statement of Mr Abdullah of national security”, Prime Minister said adding that security forces were engaged in fighting terrorism bravely but instead of supporting them, opposition had understood the security forces as their enemy.
The opposition parties who gathered on platform of so called Grand Alliance were making a number of statements with different colour on the issue of national security and they should be given befitting reply by the people in ongoing Lok Sabha elections, he added. (UNI)
