Portuguese Parl condemns Pulwama, calls it an attack on a friendly country

The international condemnation to February 14 terror attack in Pulwama continue to pour in.
“…the Portuguese Parliament unanimously condemned Pulwama Terror Attack in Jammu and Kashmir,” Indian embassy in Lisbon said.
“The National assembly (of Portuguese) gathered in the plenary session, condemns the terror attack that occurred on February 14 in Pulwama district in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India, expresses its solidarity and conveys its condolences to the Indian authorities and people and in particular to the families of the victims,” a statement from Portuguese Parliament said.
Describing the dastardly terror attack perpetrated by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) as an ‘attack on a friendly country and Portugal’s strategic partner’, the resolution said “It is also important to reiterate the strong condemnation of all forms of terrorism by Portuguese institutions and emphasise their commitment to pursuing, preventing and taking collective repressive actions against terrorism”.
A few days back, New Zealand parliament also passed such a resolution.
The United Nations Security Council on Thursday adopted a strong resolution condemning the terror act and also named JeM in the statement for the first time. (UNI)
