President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday approved the names of the 40 prison staffs for Correctional Service Medals on the 73rd Independence Day.
Out of 40 service medals, three prison staffs will get for Distinguished Services while 37 personnel have been awarded for Meritorious Services. “The Deputy Superintendent of Women’s Prisons and Correction Home at Viyyur Ms
Sajitha L, and Wader of Manipur Central Jail at Imphal Ms Lamkhokim Gangten are two women officials who have been awarded for Meritorious Services”, the Home Ministry release said.
