Protection of resources, instituions becomes challenging, when neighbour is hostile: PM

Pm on protection of institutions

Amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that when there is a hostile neighbour, problems such as militancy show up in different forms, having an impact on the atmosphere in the country.

In such a situation, it becomes quite a challenging job to protect the resources and institutions of growth inside the country, which also affect the internal atmosphere, Mr Modi said at the 50th Annual Day parade of the Central Industrial Security Force in Indirapuram area of this Uttar Pradesh district.

Achievement of CISF in protecting the assets and resources of the country in such an environment was important, he said.

Being a rapidly-growing nation, protecting the resources and infrastructure and inception of new institutions as per the need of the day was very important and likewise, the CISF was one of such forces, which was not inherited from the Britishers and came in as a new entity of the New India, post-Independence era.
