Rahul assures ‘surgical strike’ on backwardness through NYAY

Making a frontal attack on the Narendra Modi government Congress President Rahul Gandhi assured the people of Odisha his party’s resolve to mitigate unemployment and poverty through the ‘historic’ endeavour through NYAY yojna, which according to him will be a ‘ surgical strike’ on poverty and backwardness . Under the scheme over five crore  women shall be benefitted.

Rahul Gandhi said at a rally in Remuna in Balasore district that people those who have an income below Rs.12,000 per month shall get a bank transfer of Rs. 6,000 to their account and about five crore women shall be the beneficiaries of the scheme. He made it clear that, the money shall be deposited in the account of women only.

He also said that a law shall be in place so that no farmer is sent to jail in case he fails to pay back the bank loan. Rahul drew a comparison lashing at the NDA government for its failure to fulfil any promises nor having been able to punish the fugitive business men like Nirav Modi, Chowski, Mallya and others who have fled the country looting thousands of crores of rupees through bank loans.

Rahul Gandhi reiterated that his party if voted to power shall waive the farmers’ loan as soon as possible and assured a MSP for paddy of Rs.2,500.
