During next 48 hours, conditions are becoming favorable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into extreme southern parts of Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maldives Comorin Area as well as southwest, southeast, and eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

Day temperatures were above normal in some parts of Odisha, Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Telangana,and Kerala.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala and in remaining parts of west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, and north interior Karnataka.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, and north interior Karnataka.
Day temperatures were below normal in some parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar and were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, and Bihar.

Day temperatures were normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 49.6 degrees celsius in Ganganagar of west Rajasthan.
Heat waves to severe heat waves swept across isolated pockets of madhya Maharashtra, west Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi,Vidarbha and in some parts of east Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, and Jharkhand.
Heavy rainfalls very likely to lash at isolated places in south interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Heat waves to severe heat waves very likely to sweep across isolated pockets of Rajasthan, east and west Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Vidarbha, east and west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra and Kutch, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka, Telangana, and Jharkhand.

Thunderstorm along with gusty winds very likely at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, and Odisha.

Strong winds with speed reaching up to 40-50 kmph very likely over south-west Bay of Bengal hence fishermen are advised not to venture into this area during next 24 hours.
Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Rayalaseema, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, east and west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.
