The saints in the temple city on Monday demanded a temporary structure at the Ramjanmabhoomi site till the completion of a grand temple.
Mahant Raju Das of the famous Hanumangarhi temple said since 1992, Ram Lalla has been staying under a tent. “As a grand temple is likely to take five years time, as a temporary arrangement, the Trust to be set up by the government, should arrange for a small building to shift the God there so that the devotees do not face difficulty in offering prayers,” he said.
“Now after the SC judgement, Ram Bhakts would not want their God to remain under the tent,” he further said.
Mahant Ramchandra Das of Nishkam Seva Trust also supported shifting of Ram Lalla to enable pilgrims to pay obeisance. The puja should also be performed as per the rituals, he said.
Another saint Santram Bhushan Kripalu says Ram Bhakts have sacrificed themselves for the Ramjanmabhoomi struggle and now it would be not good that they should be kept awaiting to office puja there.
Meanwhile, the number of devotees praying at the Ram lalla temple here is increasing day by day. On Sunday, over 5,500 people prayed at the temple which was just 2500 on Saturday when the SC judgement came. On Monday too, the number of devotees has crossed 6,000 mark.
However, on common days, the number of devotees who pray at the Ram Lalla temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi is around 10,000 but during an festive ocassion it crosses 50,000 mark too.
