The city of brass, Moradabad, could be the launching ground for Robert Vadra, husband of AICC general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh (east) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, after the former expressed his desire to enter politics like his wife.
Robert, who is being quizzed by the Enforcement Directorate(ED), said that he has a larger role to play in serving the people once his name gets cleared in cases of alleged money laundering.
”Years of experience and learning cannot be wasted and should be put to better use”, he said in a Facebook post.
”The years n months that I spent campaigning n working in different parts of the country, but mainly in UP, gave me a feeling to do more for the people n make smaller changes possible by me, in their areas n when they got to know me, the genuine love, affection n respect I earned was humbling. All these years of experience n learning cannot be just wasted and should be put to better use… once all these accusations n allegations are over, I feel I should dedicate a larger role in serving the people,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, in Moradabad, his native place, demands of making Robert the Congress candidate from the city for the Parliamentary election are being raised with posters and hoardings springing up in support on Monday.
The posters and hoardings, put up by the Moradabad youth Congress, has appealed to Robert Vadra to contest from the city.

”Robert Vadrajee, Moradabad Lok Sabha seat welcomes you to contest the elections,” says the hoardings with a picture of Robert Vadra. Party leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi can also be seen with Vadra in the hoardings. (UNI)
