The BJP members and Union Ministers were in jubilant mood right from the beginning in Parliament on Tuesday as they all came prepared to give nod to the much talked about government moves on Jammu and Kashmir.
Rajya Sabha gave its assent to the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, the statutory resolution on Article 370 and J&K Reservation Bill on Monday. In Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah was received by the treasury bench members with thumping of desks and Jai Shri Ram slogans raised by BJP members.
While Shah came about five minutes before the House resumed its business for the day, several BJP Members and Union Ministers came much before. Shah’s two deputies Ministers of State for Home G Kishan Reddy and Nityanand Rai were among the early comers.
At one point Union Minister Giriraj Singh was seen interacting with vocal AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi and both were heard jovially telling each other to prepare well for today’s proceedings in the Lok Sabha. Among others Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, deputy Leader of Lok Sabha, and senior members including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi were present.
