Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Sheila Dikshit has constituted a five-member committee, to enquire in depth the reasons behind the defeat of the party candidates in the Lok Sabha elections in the national capital.
The commitee includes Parvez Hashmi (ex-MP), Dr A K Walia and Dr Yoganand Shastri (former Delhi Ministers), Pawan Khera (national spokesperson, AICC) and Jaikishan (ex-MLA).
The committee will probe the reasons for the defeat of the Congress candidates; what should be done to ensure the victory of the Congress party in the Assembly elections in Delhi in 2020; and how to further strengthen the party organisation in Delhi.
The committee has been asked to submit its report to the DPCC president within 10 days.
