New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Tuesday transferred to itself all the cases relating to social media guidelines from Madras High Court and other HCs of the country. A bench, headed by Justice Deepak Gupta, allowed the petition of Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. The apex court transferred a case pending in Madras HC before itself to decide the issue. It ruled that the matter would be heard in January last week after the Centre formulates new guidelines on intermediaries.
